Dr. James Dalla Riva
A native of Maryville, Illinois, Dr. James Dalla Riva graduated from Collinsville High School. He attended Creighton University; receiving a bachelor of science in Biology, earning Outstanding Student of the College of Arts and Science, as well as the Reinert Scholar Athlete award for his distinguished collegiate soccer career. Dr. Dalla Riva went on to earn his medical degree at Creighton and complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology there. After completion of his training, Dr. Dalla Riva returned to his hometown to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology; and has since been on staff at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois since 1994
He is the proud father of five daughters. In his free time, Dr. Dalla Riva enjoys hunting, fishing, exercising, and cheering on the St. Louis Blues!
Seeking to provide more comprehensive healthcare for women, Dr. Dalla Riva is a certified bone densitometrist. Dr. Dalla Riva’s office offers osteoporosis screening with the Dexa Scan. In addition, he employs a certified Sonographer who performs ultrasounds, with the ge. 3D ultrasound. In 2005, Dr. Dalla Riva sought to widen the scope of his practice to include laser therapy, as well, opening DALLA RIVA MEDICAL COSMETICS. Women can meet both their medical needs and cosmetics goals in an environment that is vitally concerned with providing excellent patient care.
Dr. Thomas Hulsen
Dr. Hulsen is a native of Quincy, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees at the University of Missouri – Columbia. He subsequently completed his residency in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at Saint Louis University. Dr. Hulsen joined Dr. Dalla Riva’s practice in 2003.
Dr. Hulsen’s wife is a pediatrician who also practices locally. They stay busy with their five active and energetic children. The whole family enjoys many of the offerings of the St. Louis area.
Particular favorites include Cardinal Baseball, the St. Louis Zoo, the Magic House, the Missouri Botanical Gardens, and Grant’s Farm.
The Hulsen’s love to spend time watching their children participate in various sports activities. They love spending time together as a family when not working.
